Watch and listen: Britney's shout out to Gay.com

Britney has sent over a quick "thank you" video to Gay.com readers, and the kind folks at imeem were only too eager to send us a "leaked" link to the entire playlist for "Circus". So, instead of boring you with our own trite "Britney's back and better than ever" review, we are going to let you decide if the album lives up to the anticipation and hype. Listen to the whole sha-bang and then take our poll ...

i just dont get it. Radar was on her last album. and was a hit, definatley. but, what a jip. she's so tired. with the exception of a couple of songs she needs to go to bed.

Why do we gays make such a big fuss about this talentless, self-centred airhead ? If you need to report on showbiz stuff then why can't we have talented people ?
Britney has NO talent whatsoever and what has she EVER done for gays ? What ?
I'm tired of the gay media brainwashing gays to like talentless trash like Britney.
We should be supporting artists who speak out for us not ones who are self-obsessed, suck huge amounts of money from our economy and give nothing in return.

I agree this is disappointing for sure ... not better than blackout

Blackout (was her best work)...on the first listen...hmmm. It's ok; doesn't jump out. Mind you- I love Britney; whether she's in a Catholic school outfit or shimmying and making out with a Pop Goddess (that would Madonna folks). Britney will be around for as long as she wants to be; but, Blackout out set a bar that Circus is not reaching :(. Radar is featured on the album as well and it (along with many other shelved songs from the CD) is hot. I thought that if a previously used song would be featured on a new album that would be reworked/remixed/revamped; in short, different. But you can't sell the same song to me twice Britney ;)

I ignore the media coverage, and if I like a song, I'll listen to it. It's that simple. This goes for Britney, Madonna, and anyone else. If you like pop music, you cannot deny that Britney works with some of the best pop producers and songwriters. I resisted liking Britney until songs like Slave 4 U (Neptunes) and Toxic appeared, and ever since there have always been a few great songs on each album. On Circus, I like: Womanizer (very catchy, immediately reminded me of Radar, maybe that's why she included it again), Out From Under (another great slower song with Guy Sigsworth "Everytime"), Unusual You (Bloodshy & Avant "Toxic"), Lace and Leather (funky Benny Blanco, Dr. Luke track), Blur (Danja "Gimme More")

Nothing outstanding here, formula sounds like hundreds of other dull songs out there. Britanny should just take her millions and buy herself a big old home back in Louisiana and her and her clan should stop inflicting themselves on America. What a joke, between her and her sister there is not one thimble full of talent except in maybe showing what inbreeding can produce in a family.

Why as a society do we love to hate? Do we dislike ourselves that much or think we're better then everyone else? I never got the feeling from Ms. Spears that she thought she was better then anyone else.
We all have our ups and downs and I think this CD is a definite up for her, the perfect mix of tempos and hooks. She's definitely on her way to Icon Status. Otherwise why would we listen or give a damn?

Britney has come a long way from her school girl days. I admit I have followed her from the beginning. Thick and thin. Good times and Bad, I have been and will remain her fan. I do agree with the above post that I get irritated with the media pushing her on the gays when she clearly does nothing back, but this cd is a solid, mature attempt and after all the craziness it makes me happy to hear the tone of this cd. Blackout was amazing and lots of fun, but let Brit chill out for a minute and show us a sane, slower side to her art. I'm a fan and I appreciate Blackout and Circus both for what they were and are. Welcome Back Brit. We've been waiting.

She is always my best POP singer. Her latest album "Circus" rocks my wolrd. She has unique voice which touches a soul. Definitely, I can't stop shaking my body if DJ keeps playing Circus, Mannequin and Shattered Glass - all my favorite tracks;)

i think its amazing, and she sounds awake this time. out from under is beautiful, as is unusual you. i fuckin love if you seek amy and kill the lights. and blur is addicting. id say britney is back, no seriously. the best pop album ive heard since blackout. love her or hate her, she makes good pop.

All you guys are bitching about her and this album but you must care enough about her to stop and listen to the album. When you have made as much money as she has then you should talk. You bitch about what Britney has done for the gays? Well what have you guys done other then bitch and be catty... SO TYPICAL....

i think that it could of been better but its a great cd to listen to not all is bad. i really love the her song unusual you. its a classic britney sound but it still works. anyways just buy it already, i dont regret it

And yet again majority rules, so suck it bitches.

ML: And yet again majority rules, so suck it bitches.

The majority is always right? Like the majority that voted in California's Proposition 8?

This album is AWSOME!
GO Britney!
Circus is the BEST!
F the haters...
P.S. if most of you had your personal life on display 24/7 I am more than sure some of you would be ridiculed and labled a "mess".

I REALLY dont understand how Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild) can produce an album and it not be hot!! thats BOOZHIE! And this album sounds like a machine is singing all the songs! thats really sad.

Because gays (I'd say "we" but it's not a community I want to feel represented in any more) were also whining about Obama doing nothing about DADT and other gay initiatives... despite not even being in office one day for another 2 months yet... Narcissism; the "community" relates to Britney and vice-versa.

I must say this album is 100 times better then blackout, I Love all the songs except for "mmm papi" not my style. Eveyone bitches about her being in the media so much and how much of a disaster her life is but what you all are not getting is everyone goes through their own personal hell we're just not being followed by cameras. we get to battle our own demons on a private level so let her recover and regain her life back and let her show us that she is trying to make her life normal before we continue to judge her. I see her trying to make progress, well really I only see what the media shows but so far I am proud to say I am a fan and always will be, so britney if you read this. YOU GO GIRL!!!! we don't like being judged for being gay so why judge her for her spiralling out of control, at least it seems she is making an effort to fix her life and regain control of her life, more then I can say for some people I know and or have known...in other words STOP BEING JUDGEMENTAL!!!! "Do onto others as you want done to you" don't judge if you don't want to be judged, I understand being judged for being gay is different from being judged on life choices, I am not trying to compare the two, just don't make your judgments on someone if you don't know the complete story, you only know what you see

Radar is most likely on this album to be released as a single... it was supposed to be a single for blackout, the followup to break the ice...

You can't even get a music player to work properly on your web site

Not as strong an album as Blackout. Just not as catchy as Womanizer. But i get into everything she does so im sure it will grow on me.

Britney is doing what she needs to do to keep her life "stable" and she's doing this not only for her career, but most of all, for her sons'. If I am not mistaken, they are more important than anything to her and she's doing what she's gotta do. The last few years of her life were a mess-up on her part in the sense of losing control over certain aspects of her life. All in all, she's never going to be a "flop" as far as her music is concerned. Move over Madonna. Britney IS the new Queen of Pop.

her songs suck and sound similar and unoriginal, she needs to retire and go back to the looney bin

this cd is good! i like all the songs cept MMM Papi, infact i despise it lol but yeah great CD nice arrangements of different sounds and lyrics:) good beats! Circus is awsome ;)

I would like to know (not really) who made the decision to include the song Radar on this album? Didn't they bother to listen to her last album? Britney can't afford creative errors like this if she really wants to get back any credibility as an artist.

What an awful album. Womanizer is the only addictive track on the album. The others are just boring. It surely isn't her best.

I guess I am sorta confused about how people are saying this isn't as strong as blackout. I loved BlackOut don't get me wrong.. but she sounds more alive and I can dance to the beats to this album better than Black Out .. and isn't that the only reason we listen to Britney anyways? Love her or hate her all the boys and all the girls are begging to if you seek amy ;)

unique voice? hmm ill admit her songs do make people dance, but her plastic voice is just that nothing special to it. just a cd plain and simple.. its alrite!

Can't sing.
Cridder is the Bear Room sings way bedder.

Overall, 6.5 out of 10. Decent album, but nothing overwhelmingly giving a WOW factor

There are a few really good dance tracks....rest are a copy of her last album...many songs sound like "Break the Ice" or "Piece of Me".

I am ready for a NEW piece of Britney. Enough with all this synthized vocals. Give us some pop music that will actually be pop-ular!

I think it's awesome.
Her voice sounds great, and I think that Circus is a perfect job,

Britney delivers as always!! THIS IS AN AWESOME ALBUM! I LOVE IT!

i am so happy. briteny is comeback
and i heard womanizer that is really
awsome. great. every my friends love this song.

You know, I'm really looking forward to what's going to come from this album. The girl has had a tough time these past couple of years, and I only wish the best. Is it the best music I've ever heard: no. Is it going to work: yes. I find that this album introduces a grown up Britney that I hope translates as well through how she carries herself and what she does in her career. I'm a fan; I'll certainly buy it.

"Blackout" was OK. "In The Zone" was OK. Both with the exception of a few songs.

She has really matured, and is back to being fun, and positive.

I instantly felt that Britney had returned with a positive outlook when she released "Womanizer" and now soon her new album. I don't care what anyone says. If you don't like Britney, then don't listen to her.

The gay stereotype is made by other gay people who just have an habitual agenda to denigrate someone else for trying to improve their life.

Next to E=MC2 byt Mariah Carey, this is the best album of 2008! I think this will be the comeback that Blackout was supposed to be, I love Womanizer (not to mention the guy she used in the video is HOT) and Circus, these are my 2 favorite songs on the album, I look for this album to be # 1 for sure!!

O.k, Circus may not be as strong and catchy as Blackout, which definately is her best album to date, but it is still a good album. Love "Unusual You" and "Blur", to me these two are the best songs on the album. Hey, people, Britney is trying to put her act together, please dont be so hard on her!

why is it called circus? i dont get it....wasnt Christina's Back to basics album a circus theme? i dont get it....theres nothing circus like in the album

I see this album more creative and more appealing than black out eventhough there are similarities. As an album, it's definitely complimenting to her line up considering all her past albums. She definitely is heading into a better direction musically. Props Britney!

Gay.com - tell the record company that paid you to put the Britney review up it's shit. Thanks.

I've been a Britney fan since she came out when I was in 8th grade. I'll be 24 on December 3rd, and I still haven't tired of this girl. She has had a rough last couple of years, but everyone goes through dark times in their life. I am just glad she is better and she got the help that she so desparately needed. I think this album is fine. She did an excellent job. I don't care what people say, the girl knows what a good song is! She deserves every bit of success that is going to come her way because of this cd and the gift God gave her. She is an amazing girl, and I've never stopped believing in her. Welcome back Britney! We love you and wish you the best!

Absolutely horrible. Why do record companies continue to pander to such talentless hacks. The song "Womanizer" is so simple-minded that it sounds like a four year old wrote it and it's sung by a simple-minded, so-called, singer. Let's get people into the industry that have talent and get rid of the trash once and for all.

I understand why she titled this album "Circus." Just listen to "Out From Under." She's been through a lot the past few years. She's made her share of mistakes, but who hasn't? She has cameras on her 24/7 and has to make her every move in the public eye. I completely support her 100%. She has matured and she is back and better than ever! Who else in musical history has gone from #96 to #1 on the Billboard charts? Um, no one! She endures because it's stuff that people buy. And for all the f#cktards posting negativity here... well you are the ones who decided to check it out, so well, who's dumber... her for putting it out, or you for listening to it? Think about it. I'm definitely buying a copy or two of this when it comes out!

I dont usually care about celebrity news, but Britney, YOU GO GIRL!

Honestly what is wrong with this album? A. EVERYTHING... Seriously I didnt catch one good track besides womanizer which is only ok... I think britney is a disapointment just like usual. I mean I know i have hated her since i was 13 but I will admit if she had done a good job... which IN the zone was the only thing of hers i have ever liked... I dont get why gays subject to like a talentless whore i mean there isnt even good fast songs for her to dance/lip sync to on stage....

luv the gay.com shout out! this album is gonna be HUGE! luv all the tracks. for once, i can actually hear her vocals and not so much with vocoder. :D luv it! u go girl!

This is a GREAT "pop" CD. Ms Spears' voice is smooth and sultry and the beats and rhythms make it easy to dance to (with the exception of “My Baby” a ballad, which could have been better if she had sung it in her natural vocal range through out the entire song (which she did use between 0:35 and 0:45), but is a sweet song with very warm sentiment). And regarding all these very negative comments: we should remember that this is a "pop" album, just enjoy it for what it is – a fun, energetic, pop CD.

OK, So this is not a hard one to ponder guys. Britney has been the poster child for mental illness over the past year, like it or not. When someone who has a disorder, as she does, her artistic talents are going to be best when she is hypo-manic and not on medication. I don't believe for one second that she is "cured" in any way, more like just medicated, which can at times, equal BORING! Rather, maybe she had bad luck with the producer, who really knows...

I like that she is coming back. I think it relates to gay people in a way, because even though leading a gay life is difficult, WE gay people are very creative, and we always find our way to the right track.
