There are a couple of misconceptions about Swing Out Sister that need to be cleared up.
Yeah, the twice Grammy-nominated band’s breakthrough number six hit "Breakout," is as bubble gum as they come, but don’t for one second mistake them for a pop band.

The music of mega group Fleetwood Mac has always sounded like a quiet storm to me… and not simply because of the song "Storm," the "Dreams" lyric: "Thunder only happens when it's raining" and the rain scene in the "Gypsy" video.
Between Mick Fleetwood's steady drumming, Christine McVie's precise keyboarding and Stevie Nick's haunting vocals, I just hear rain.

Friends who want to get in touch with Stevie Nicks know not to send an e-mail, call on a cell phone, or reach out by text message, because she won't respond.
It's not that she's being rude: Nicks doesn't own a computer or a cell phone. The 60-year-old rock legend, who is currently on tour with Fleetwood Mac, is a proud technophobe.
"I believe that computers have taken over the world. I believe that they have in many ways ruined our children. I believe that kids used to love to go out and play," Nicks says in her famously smoky voice.

‘MOVE!’ is the first word I hear while taking pictures. The concert has barely begun and security is already preparing for a crowd surfing dump into our media pit. Luckily, the concert-goer is returned to his feet so he can enjoy the performance instead of being roughly escorted back into the Kool Haus sidelines. Oh yes, ‘The Prodigy’ have invaded Toronto!

Despite themselves, The Cliks couldn’t help but make a new record that made order and sense out of tumult and turbulence. The Toronto band had a whirlwind past two years since the release of their debut album, "Snakehouse" -- and there’s no sign that they’ll be slowing down anytime soon.
Holed up this past fall at Radio Star Studios in Weed, California, the band put their emotions, thoughts and talents together to create the evocative, driving and exciting tracks on "Dirty King", their new album dropping June 23rd. Feeling bad never sounded quite so good!
