Kylie Minogue's U.S. Tour Kicks Off
Tickets are still available for many of her shows here.
Minogue offered fans this sneak peek at the rehearsals for the stage production and introduced us to some of the aforementioned dancers. Hello, Jamie!
There are certain established acts like Madonna, Kylie and the Scissor Sisters that play best in expansive arenas and stadiums, and others like Marianne Faithfull, Lady Gaga and Rufus Wainwright that work better in small, intimate clubs.
Duran Duran falls into the first category.
While most hardcore Duranies would have cut off their right rubber arm bracelets to see the Fab Five in their infancy at Birmingham England’s Rum Runner club in 1980 or at L.A.’s Roxy club on their first U.S. outing the following year, Duran Duran has evolved into something much bigger and broader than a bar band over the last 29 years.

Grammy winning cutie Michael Bublé just released a new DVD/CD, “Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden," last week. Take a look at the live performance of Buble singing, "I've Got the World on a String" below.
There are a couple of misconceptions about Swing Out Sister that need to be cleared up.
Yeah, the twice Grammy-nominated band’s breakthrough number six hit "Breakout," is as bubble gum as they come, but don’t for one second mistake them for a pop band.
The music of mega group Fleetwood Mac has always sounded like a quiet storm to me… and not simply because of the song "Storm," the "Dreams" lyric: "Thunder only happens when it's raining" and the rain scene in the "Gypsy" video.
Between Mick Fleetwood's steady drumming, Christine McVie's precise keyboarding and Stevie Nick's haunting vocals, I just hear rain.
OUT New York-based singer/songwriter and instrumentalist Chris Garneau is "a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars."
So finally, Kylie's stateside homos (and other miscellaneous fans) will get a chance to experience her live in concert when a 6-city tour kicks off September 30th.
We can start falling all over ourselves when tickets go on sale the weekend of May 15th. However for those of us with good credit, early access will be available to AMEX cardholders on May 7th, through Ticketmaster. Also, members of Kylie's mailing list via her official website www.Kylie.com will receive an exclusive email that contains information of special ticket pre-sale offers.
Good luck getting a seat! Some of the venues are smaller than a shiny silver micro-mini skirt ...
Friends who want to get in touch with Stevie Nicks know not to send an e-mail, call on a cell phone, or reach out by text message, because she won't respond.
It's not that she's being rude: Nicks doesn't own a computer or a cell phone. The 60-year-old rock legend, who is currently on tour with Fleetwood Mac, is a proud technophobe.
"I believe that computers have taken over the world. I believe that they have in many ways ruined our children. I believe that kids used to love to go out and play," Nicks says in her famously smoky voice.

‘MOVE!’ is the first word I hear while taking pictures. The concert has barely begun and security is already preparing for a crowd surfing dump into our media pit. Luckily, the concert-goer is returned to his feet so he can enjoy the performance instead of being roughly escorted back into the Kool Haus sidelines. Oh yes, ‘The Prodigy’ have invaded Toronto!
