Two years ago, Lily Allen was a pixie-faced singer whose saucy, reggae-ish pop debut album "Alright, Still" nabbed her fame, fortune and competition with fellow U.K. rebel Amy Winehouse.
Now, following a clothing line, TV show and tabloid fodder, from drunken episodes to a publicized miscarriage, the 23-year-old is back. She's still all sharp-tongued wit, but with an adult edge.
Kylie Minogue is just about to wrap up the sensational Kylie X 2008 tour overseas, and it's a damn shame that once again her tour didn't land in America. Maybe next time around, we'll at least get a few New York and L.A. dates. C'mon Kylie -- it's time to throw your U.S. homos a bone!

Florian Schneider, co-founder of Kraftwerk, the German band that built the foundation for electro-pop and scored a chart-topping global hit with "Autobahn" in 1974, has left the group.
News of the departure was first reported on the Web site Kraftwerk in November, but gained prominence when the Kraftwerk Official Fan Web Site posted a short statement on December 5th.

With Prop 8 (which amends the California Constitution to eliminate the right of gay couples to marry statewide) passing this morning, I thought it would be interesting to reflect on a decade when, at the very least, same-sex musical marriages were sanctioned -- no, actually applauded.
